What data we collect & why
- Basic usage data (IP address, browser info, pages visited) for security, performance, and to understand interest in our content.
- Newsletter data (name, email) when you subscribe, to send you emails you request.
- Contact form or email content if you write to us, so we can reply and keep appropriate records.
- Purchase-related data only if/when we offer products; currently no on-site checkout is active.
Legal bases (EU/UK visitors): consent (for emails/cookies), legitimate interests (site security, analytics), contract (if you buy something later), and legal obligation (record-keeping).
Embedded content (YouTube, etc.)
Posts may include embedded videos (e.g., YouTube). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you visited those sites directly
and may collect data, use cookies, or track interactions according to their policies. See YouTube/Google’s privacy policy for details.
Email & newsletter (MailerLite)
If you subscribe, your name (optional) and email are stored with our email provider, MailerLite, to send you the messages you requested.
Every email includes an unsubscribe link. We may track email opens and link clicks to improve content quality and deliverability.
For details on MailerLite’s data practices, see their privacy policy.
Affiliate links
We use affiliate links to recommend products we genuinely find useful. If you click a link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We disclose affiliate relationships clearly near relevant links and on our Disclosures & Disclaimers page.
Amazon Associates: As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
Other partners: We may participate in programs such as Bookshop.org and other affiliate networks; the same “clear and conspicuous” disclosure rules apply.
How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose collected:
newsletter data until you unsubscribe (and for a reasonable period to maintain suppression lists),
contact emails as long as needed to respond and maintain records, and security logs for a limited period.
You can request deletion—see “Your rights” below.
Your rights & choices
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time via the link in any newsletter.
- Access, correct, or delete your data by contacting us (see below).
- EU/UK/EEA: You may have additional rights (data portability, restriction, objection) and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
- California: If the CCPA/CPRA applies, you may request information about personal information we collect, use, and disclose. We do not sell personal information.
How we protect your data
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (including HTTPS, reputable hosting, and a CDN).
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information.
